Topaz Video Black Friday 2026: Past Discounts and What It Really Costs

Key takeaways

• As of 1 November 2026, Topaz hasn't announced a Black Friday 2026 sale; a separate 50% offer on Topaz Studio and Topaz Photo runs until 16 November. Its 2025 sale ran from 18 November to 3 December.
• In 2025, Topaz Video alone was 15% off, while the Topaz Studio bundle was 43% off. Bundles have had the deeper cuts.
• A December holiday sale followed in 2025, with 25% off single apps, a bigger cut than on Black Friday.
• Recent Topaz sales applied to annual plans, and the spring 2026 sale applied to the first year only. Renewals return to the list price.
• Work out the three-year cost, not the first-year price, before you buy.

Topaz has run a Black Friday sale every recent year, and 2025's started on 18 November. So far it hasn't announced 2026's. Based on past sales, expect the biggest discounts on the Topaz Studio bundle, a smaller one on Topaz Video alone, and a first-year discount that renews at the full price.

In this guide, you'll learn what Topaz offered in past sales, what Topaz Video costs at list price today, how to calculate what a discounted plan really costs over three years, and what to check on the day the sale goes live.

How we wrote this

Current prices come from Topaz's pricing page on 29 October 2026. Past sale terms come from Topaz staff and from photography news sites; several of those sites earn affiliate commissions from Topaz, which we note. KwaFlux makes a competing app, and we'll update this page when Topaz announces its 2026 sale.

Does Topaz have a Black Friday sale?

A Topaz Black Friday sale is a limited-time discount on Topaz Labs' subscription plans, usually starting in mid-to-late November and ending in early December. In 2025 it ran from 18 November to 3 December. Search interest follows the same pattern: Google Trends showed interest in "topaz black friday" only in November over the past year.

Topaz has been part of Adobe since 23 September 2026. Adobe hasn't said anything about Topaz's prices or sales, so we can't tell yet whether the 2026 sale will follow the same shape. See what the Adobe deal changed.

Past Topaz sales and their discounts

Three patterns stand out:

• Bundles get the bigger cut. In each sale that listed both, Topaz Studio, which includes Topaz Video, was discounted more than Topaz Video on its own.
• Black Friday wasn't the deepest sale. In 2025, the December holiday sale took more off single apps (25%) than Black Friday did (15%).
• Existing customers sometimes get more. The holiday sale gave existing customers 47% off Studio, against 35% for new customers.

Sidenote: In 2025, Topaz staff also said the Black Friday Studio deal gave a "Founder" tag that allowed running Starlight locally, and called it the last chance to get it. Since Topaz Video 1.7.0, Starlight Mini and Precise run locally on any license anyway; see the Starlight explainer.

What Topaz Video costs at list price

On 29 October 2026, Topaz's pricing page listed:

Topaz Video includes 25 cloud credits a month; Studio includes 300. Separately, from 19 October to 16 November 2026, Topaz is running a 50% offer on Topaz Studio and Topaz Photo: half price for the first year on annual plans, or for the first three months on monthly plans. Topaz Video on its own isn't included, and there's no Black Friday banner yet. For what each plan includes, see our Topaz Video review.

The real cost of a discounted plan

A sale lowers the first payment. What you pay over the years depends on what renews.

Example, using last year's discount on Topaz Video alone (15%), applied to the first year only:

Without the sale, the same three years cost $897. A 15% first-year discount saves $44.85 over three years, about 5%.

Example, Topaz Studio at last year's Black Friday price ($229), first year only: $229 + $399 + $399 = $1,027 over three years, against $1,197 at list price.

Example, Topaz Studio at this autumn's 50% offer ($199.50), first year only: $199.50 + $399 + $399 = $997.50 over three years. Half price in year one works out to about 17% off over three years.

Two things can change the picture:

• If a discount renews, for example an existing-customer price that carries over, the savings grow every year. Read the checkout terms.
• If you only need it for a few months, the cancel-anytime monthly plan at $59 may cost less than any annual deal. Three months is $177.

For the same arithmetic across subscription and one-time licenses in general, see lifetime vs subscription over three years.

What to check when the sale starts

1. Which plans are included. Single app, Studio, Pro, monthly or annual only.
2. First year or every year. Does the price hold at renewal?
3. New or existing customer. Existing subscribers have sometimes had different prices.
4. Credits. Does the plan include enough cloud credits for the models you use?
5. Your hardware. Make sure the models you want run on your computer before you pay. Topaz Video needs 16 GB of RAM; Starlight needs 32 GB.
6. Refund terms. Read Topaz's cancellation and refund policy for annual plans.

If you'd rather not subscribe

Topaz Video has been subscription-only since 2025. If a renewal every year isn't what you want, compare tools that still sell a one-time license, and compare the three-year total, not the sticker price. See Topaz Video AI alternatives that still sell lifetime licenses.

Here's Topaz Video at last year's Black Friday discount next to a one-time license, over three years:

Even against last year's Black Friday price, the one-time license costs $652.16 less over three years, before any KwaFlux offer. KwaFlux list prices are from 1 November 2026; current prices, including any seasonal offer, are on the pricing page. Final thoughts

Expect a Topaz sale in late November, deeper on bundles than on Topaz Video alone, and check whether the discount lasts beyond the first year. A sale is worth it when you'd subscribe anyway; it isn't a reason to start a subscription you'll renew at full price for years.
