What AI upscaling actually recovers

Traditional resizing spreads existing pixels over a larger frame — the result is bigger, but not sharper. What's the difference between upscaling and enhancing?

Upscaling increases resolution (for example 720p to 4K) while reconstructing detail. Enhancing improves qualities other than resolution — color, dynamic range, frame rate, or stability. Kwaflux includes both, and they can be combined in one workflow.

Can AI really turn 480p into 4K?

It can render a 4K frame from a 480p source, and it will look substantially better than player scaling — but it cannot recover information that never existed. Expect a clean, watchable result rather than true native-4K detail. From 720p or 1080p sources, results are much closer to native.

Which upscaling model should I use?
