KwaFlux feature
AI Video Enhancer that recovers real detail — locally
KwaFlux upscales low-resolution video to 1080p or 4K using neural super-resolution models that reconstruct texture and edges — not the smeared, plastic look of simple interpolation. Processing runs on your own GPU; your media is not uploaded.
- Upscale 480p / 720p sources to 1080p or 4K output
- Dedicated models for general footage, portraits, anime, and night scenes
- 100% local processing — no upload, no per-minute cloud fees
From soft source to delivery-ready detail
Demo preview — enhance locally in KwaFlux. Upscale with general, portrait, anime, or night-scene models.

Recover detail where soft scaling only stretches pixels
Neural upscaling reconstructs texture and edges on your GPU. Preview free 1s/3s/5s clips before you commit a full export — nothing leaves your machine.

Upscaling models built for specific footage
General model
- Balanced detail recovery for everyday camera footage, screen recordings, and compressed exports.
Portrait model
- Face-aware reconstruction that keeps skin texture natural instead of over-smoothing people.
Anime model
- Line-art aware upscaling that keeps edges crisp and flat colors clean on animated content.
Night-scene model
- Tuned for dark, high-noise footage where generic upscalers amplify grain into artifacts.
Multiple quality tiers
- Each model ships with selectable strength tiers, so you can trade processing time against output quality per project.
What AI upscaling actually recovers
Traditional resizing spreads existing pixels over a larger frame — the result is bigger, but not sharper. A neural video upscaler is different: it has learned what real-world texture, hair, fabric, text, and edges look like, and reconstructs plausible detail that the original compression threw away. That is why AI upscaling from 720p to 4K can look dramatically better than a player's built-in scaling.
An honest note on limits: AI cannot invent information that was never there. A heavily degraded sub-480p source will improve, but it will not become true native 4K. The best results come from 720p/1080p sources with reasonable bitrates — which covers most real-world archives, screen recordings, and social exports.
Why local processing matters for upscaling
Cloud upscalers typically meter by the minute or by credits and require uploading full-resolution masters — slow for large files and a non-starter for confidential client work. KwaFlux runs the pipeline on your own GPU: no upload time, no queue, no per-job billing, and footage that stays on your machine.
In 2026, many creators also upscale AI-generated clips (Sora, Kling, Veo) before delivery. Local processing keeps those masters off third-party upload queues while you batch-render at 1080p or 4K.
How to upscale a video with KwaFlux
01
Import your source
Drag the video into KwaFlux. Low-resolution, compressed, and noisy sources are exactly what the pipeline is built for.
02
Pick a model and output size
Choose general, portrait, anime, or night-scene, select 1080p or 4K output, and preview a 1s/3s/5s segment to compare settings before committing.
03
Export
Render the full clip on your GPU and export. Batch processing handles whole folders when you need to upscale a series.

System requirements
- Operating system
- Windows 10 (64-bit, 1809+) or Windows 11
- macOS build coming — planned minimum macOS 13 or newer (Apple Silicon and Intel).
- GPU
- DirectX 12 compatible discrete GPU (NVIDIA / AMD / Intel Arc)
- NVIDIA RTX recommended — TensorRT acceleration is available on RTX. macOS GPU requirements will ship with the Mac build.
- Memory
- 16 GB RAM or above
- Keeps previews and export staging responsive under load.
- Storage
- Fast SSD workspace
- Better for caching, temp artifacts, and larger preview sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between upscaling and enhancing?
- Upscaling increases resolution (for example 720p to 4K) while reconstructing detail. Enhancing improves qualities other than resolution — color, dynamic range, frame rate, or stability. KwaFlux includes both, and they can be combined in one workflow.
Can AI really turn 480p into 4K?
- It can render a 4K frame from a 480p source, and it will look substantially better than player scaling — but it cannot recover information that never existed. Expect a clean, watchable result rather than true native-4K detail. From 720p or 1080p sources, results are much closer to native.
Which upscaling model should I use?
- Use the portrait model when people are the subject, the anime model for animated content, the night-scene model for dark and noisy footage, and the general model for everything else. The 1s/3s/5s preview makes it fast to compare models on your actual footage.
Do I need an NVIDIA GPU?
- No. KwaFlux runs on any DirectX 12 compatible discrete GPU — NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel Arc are all supported. NVIDIA RTX cards additionally use TensorRT acceleration.
Is my footage uploaded to the cloud?
- No. The AI processing runs on your own GPU and your media files are not uploaded — there is no queue and no per-minute cloud fee. The network is used only for sign-in and license checks (needed to export on a paid plan) and for updates.
Can I try it before buying?
- Yes. Download KwaFlux and render 1-, 3-, and 5-second effect previews across all AI modules without creating an account. You only sign in and pick a paid plan when you want to export or convert, and there is a $199.99 Perpetual License if you prefer to skip subscriptions.
