Smooth the shake, keep the moves you meant
Stabilizing crops the edges: the more shake, the more crop. Preview the section with the worst movement before you export.
§01What it does
Two modes and a longer preview
Automatic
The default. Smooths handheld shake and keeps intentional camera moves, for vlogs, walking shots and documentary footage.
Subject Lock
Drag a box around the subject on the paused preview and it stays put for the whole clip. The crop is set once for the clip: the more the shot drifts, the more edge it loses.
Previews of 5, 15 or 30 seconds
Longer than the 1, 3 or 5 seconds other video modules use, so there's enough movement on screen to judge the steadiness and the crop. No account needed.

What stabilization costs
Every stabilizer crops the frame slightly so it can shift the picture against the shake, and a steadier result costs more edge. Automatic trims a fixed margin; Subject Lock trims as much as the clip's drift requires.
Rolling-shutter wobble (the jello from fast whip pans) is recorded into each frame and may remain after stabilizing, so preview your quickest whip pan.

Stabilize first, then upscale or grade, so AI Video Enhancer and AI Color Grading work on a steady frame. Each is its own pass in the same app, with no upload in between.

How to stabilize a video with KwaFlux
Import the shaky clip
In the sidebar, open the AI Toolbox, pick Video Stabilization under Smart Effects and import the clip. Handheld, walking and vehicle shots are typical uses.
Pick a mode
Start with Automatic and preview 5, 15 or 30 seconds (5 by default). Switch to Subject Lock when the subject must not move, and drag a box around it on the paused preview.
Export
Export the steadied clip. Upscaling or color grading is a separate pass in its own module.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does stabilization crop my video?
- Yes, slightly. Automatic trims a fixed margin; Subject Lock sets one crop for the whole clip from how far the shot drifts, so a shakier clip loses more edge. Preview the roughest section to see the crop.
- Can it fix the jello / rolling-shutter effect?
- Not reliably. Rolling-shutter wobble from fast whip pans is recorded into each frame, so some of it may remain after stabilizing. Ordinary handheld shake and walking bounce are what the stabilizer is built for.
- Will intentional camera moves like pans be kept?
- Yes, in Automatic, which keeps pans, tilts and push-ins while it removes shake. Subject Lock is different: it holds the boxed subject in place, so a pan is canceled along with the shake.
- Can I try it before buying?
- Yes, with no account or card. Free previews last 1, 3 or 5 seconds in video modules, 5, 15 or 30 seconds in Video Stabilization, the whole picture for images and the opening 5 to 30 seconds for audio; file tools such as the Converter have no effect preview. Exporting, converting, repairing a file and downloading a file from a link need sign-in and a paid plan, and there's no time-limited trial.
