How the stabilizer is organized

Light smoothing

Removes micro-jitter while keeping the natural handheld feel — right for documentary and vlog material.

Standard stabilization

The default for walking shots and run-and-gun footage: visible shake gone, deliberate motion preserved.

Maximum lock

Aggressive smoothing that approaches a tripod look, at the cost of a tighter crop.

What stabilization costs, honestly

Every stabilizer works by reframing: the frame is cropped slightly so it can be shifted against the shake. More stabilization means more crop. KwaFlux exposes that trade-off as three explicit levels instead of hiding it — pick light smoothing to keep nearly the full frame, or maximum lock when a steady image matters more than the edges.

Rolling-shutter wobble (the jello effect from fast whip movements on CMOS sensors) is reduced but not always fully removable — that is a physical limitation of how the sensor captured the frame, and any tool claiming to erase it completely is overpromising.

Stabilize before you enhance

Order matters in a finishing pipeline: stabilizing first gives AI Video Enhancer and AI Color Enhance a consistent frame to work with. Because KwaFlux chains modules in one workflow, the stabilize-then-enhance order is a checkbox rather than a round-trip between tools.

    Start with standard; preview a 1s/3s/5s segment and step up to maximum lock or down to light smoothing based on how much crop you can accept.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does stabilization crop my video?

Yes — all stabilization reframes the image slightly, and stronger settings crop more. KwaFlux makes the trade-off explicit with three strength levels so you choose how much frame to trade for steadiness.

Can it fix the jello / rolling-shutter effect?

It reduces it, but severe rolling-shutter distortion from fast whips is partially baked into how the sensor captured each frame and cannot always be fully removed. Ordinary handheld shake and walking bounce stabilize very well.

Will intentional camera moves like pans survive?

Yes. The analyzer separates low-frequency deliberate motion (pans, tilts, push-ins) from high-frequency shake, and the light and standard levels are tuned to preserve the former.

Do I need an NVIDIA GPU?

No. KwaFlux runs on any DirectX 12 compatible discrete GPU — NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel Arc are all supported. NVIDIA RTX cards additionally use TensorRT acceleration.

Is my footage uploaded to the cloud?

No. The AI processing runs on your own GPU and your media files are not uploaded — there is no queue and no per-minute cloud fee. The network is used only for sign-in and license checks (needed to export on a paid plan) and for updates.

Can I try it before buying?

Yes. Download KwaFlux and render 1-, 3-, and 5-second effect previews across all AI modules without creating an account. You only sign in and pick a paid plan when you want to export or convert, and there is a $199.99 Perpetual License if you prefer to skip subscriptions.
