Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kwaflux?

Kwaflux is a desktop application for AI-powered media enhancement. It bundles 30+ AI modules — video upscaling, restoration, color and motion enhancement, background removal, stabilization, image repair, audio cleanup, and format conversion — into one local pipeline.

Do I need an account to use Kwaflux?

No account is needed to explore the app and render 1-second and 3-second effect previews across all AI modules. To unlock 5-second previews and full export, create a free account and choose a paid plan.

Is my media uploaded to the cloud?

No. Kwaflux processes everything locally on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded, there is no processing queue, and your footage never leaves your computer — which also means no per-minute cloud fees.

What can AI video enhancement actually fix?

It reconstructs detail lost to compression and low resolution, corrects dull or faded color, smooths choppy motion with frame interpolation, stabilizes handheld shake, and isolates subjects without a green screen. It cannot invent detail that was never captured — heavily degraded sources improve substantially but won't become native 4K.

Which platforms are supported?

Kwaflux runs on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). macOS support is in development and expected in 2026.

Do I need an NVIDIA GPU?

No. Any DirectX 12 compatible discrete GPU works — NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel Arc are all supported. NVIDIA RTX cards deliver the best performance through TensorRT acceleration.

What pricing plans are available?

Monthly ($29.99), quarterly ($49.99), yearly ($79.99), and a one-time $199.99 lifetime license. All plans include the full local desktop feature set — the only difference is billing frequency and total cost.

Does Kwaflux have a lifetime license?

Yes. The $199.99 Perpetual License is a one-time purchase with no subscription — it includes free updates within the current major version and pays for itself in about 7 months compared with monthly billing.

How many devices can I use?

Each license can be used on up to 2 devices. Sign in on a new device to activate it, and revoke old devices from your dashboard at any time.

How long does processing take?

It depends on your GPU, the source resolution, and which modules you stack — that's exactly why Kwaflux renders free 1s/3s previews first, so you can judge quality and speed on your own hardware before committing to a full export.
