Integrated graphics and 8 GB RAM can preview and export. 4K, long clips, or stacked modules will be slower. We do not publish a VRAM floor.

§05Installing

Install questions

Are the download and previews really free?: Yes. Downloading, installing, importing footage and rendering previews need no account. Exporting, converting, repairing a file and downloading from a link need sign-in and a paid plan. There is no trial period.
What's the difference between the online installer and the offline package?: The online installer is small and downloads the rest during setup. The offline package contains everything in one file, which helps on an unreliable connection or when you install on several computers. Both install the same app.
What is the GPU Acceleration Component?: On Macs with macOS 13 or newer, it runs supported features through Apple's Core ML to speed them up; macOS 15 and later cover more features than macOS 13–14. KwaFlux prepares it automatically after launch from our official source; there is no switch to turn on. You can keep working while it downloads, and if you start a task before it is ready, you can wait or run in Standard Mode. macOS 12 stays in Standard Mode. Windows does not use this component, and TensorRT acceleration is not supported on Windows yet.
How many computers can I use it on?: Installing and previewing aren't limited. For paid features, one license works on up to 2 computers, Windows and Mac in any mix. If you sign in on a new one at the limit, the least recently used device may be signed out, and you can remove devices from your dashboard at any time.
Will KwaFlux run on my laptop or integrated graphics?: Yes, if it meets the basics: on Windows, an Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA GPU from 2016 or later, integrated graphics included; on Mac, Apple Silicon; 8 GB of RAM, 16 GB recommended. Integrated GPUs take longer on 4K, long clips, and stacked effects. TensorRT acceleration isn't supported on Windows yet, and we haven't published a minimum GPU memory.
Is KwaFlux safe to install?: Download it only from kwaflux.com. The Windows and Mac installers are signed, and the download page shows each file's SHA-256 checksum so you can check it wasn't altered.
