Why Sora output needs upscaling
- 01Sora clips usually arrive at 720p to 1080p: fine in a feed, soft on a TV, a projector or a 4K timeline.
- 02Skin, fabric and foliage often come out as smeared micro-texture, and a player's scaling only stretches the smear.
- 03Small on-screen text and logos are often soft. Reconstruction firms up their edges, but it cannot rewrite garbled lettering.
- 04Warped hands and morphing objects are generation errors, not resolution problems, so pick the cleanest take before you finish it in 4K.

Frequently asked questions
- What resolution does Sora output?
- It depends on your plan and settings, but clips are usually in the 720p to 1080p range. Check the file's properties, then pick 1080p or 4K as the output resolution.
- Should I output 4K or 1080p?
- Choose by where the clip will play. 4K suits TVs, projectors and 4K timelines; 1080p is usually enough for social feeds. Compare free previews of the hardest second at both sizes.
- Will upscaling fix Sora's smearing and warping?
- It sharpens smeared texture and soft edges, but it cannot re-generate content. Warped geometry and morphing objects are generation errors; pick your cleanest take and upscale that.
- Can I upscale a whole batch of generations at once?
- Yes. Load several clips into one workspace, set the parameters on one and apply them to the rest, then Export all. Each clip goes to Task Center and renders on your computer while you do something else.
- Is my generated video uploaded anywhere?
- No. The AI processing runs on your own GPU, and your clips are not uploaded for processing — there are no per-minute cloud fees or upload queues.
