Introduction
Legal operator: KwaFlux Limited. Company / Business Registration No.: 80432817. Registered office address: UNIT 225-22, 2/F MEGA CUBE, 8 WANG KWONG RD, KLN BAY, HONG KONG.
This Refund Policy explains when KwaFlux purchases may be eligible for a refund. It applies to purchases made directly from KwaFlux through our website or authorized checkout. If you purchased through a reseller, app store, marketplace, or third-party platform, that platform's refund policy may apply.
We aim to be fair to users while preventing abuse of previews, exports, subscriptions, licenses, cloud processing, credits, and payment disputes.
1. Try before you buy
KwaFlux may provide a free tier, preview build, sample workflow, trial access, limited export capability, or limited cloud processing so you can test compatibility, performance, and output quality before purchase.
You are responsible for reviewing product details, system requirements, release status, feature availability, cloud processing availability, and plan terms before purchasing.
2. Refund windows
Unless stated otherwise at checkout or required by law:
2.1 Subscription plans
Monthly, quarterly, and yearly subscription purchases may be eligible for a full refund if you request the refund within 14 days of your initial purchase and you have not materially used the paid export functionality or cloud processing functionality.
For renewal payments, refund eligibility is limited. Renewal refunds may be approved only where required by law or where there is a clear billing error, duplicate charge, confirmed cancellation failure, or other exceptional circumstance approved by us.
2.2 Lifetime or perpetual license
Lifetime or perpetual license purchases may be eligible for a full refund if you request the refund within 14 days of purchase and you have not materially used the paid export functionality or cloud processing functionality.
A longer lifetime-license refund window may be offered only as a time-limited promotion or as expressly stated at checkout.
2.3 Cloud credits and usage-based purchases
Unless required by law or stated otherwise at checkout:
- Unused cloud credits may be refundable only within the applicable refund period.
- Used cloud credits are generally non-refundable.
- Processing failures caused by KwaFlux may be resolved through reprocessing, credit restoration, account credit, or refund at our discretion.
2.4 Preview, beta, or early-access purchases
If a paid preview or early-access product is sold before general release, the checkout page must clearly state:
- Whether access is immediate or staged.
- Which platform builds are available.
- Whether cloud processing is available.
- Whether the purchase is refundable.
- Whether features are incomplete or subject to change.
If checkout promises immediate access and we cannot provide access due to our fault, you may request a refund.
3. What counts as material use
We may deny or limit a refund if your account shows material use of paid functionality during the refund period.
Material use may include, for example:
- Exporting a significant number of videos, images, or projects.
- Processing a large amount of media by duration, file size, batch count, cloud task count, or credit usage.
- Using paid or cloud features for commercial delivery, client work, resale, or production output.
- Attempting to obtain a refund after completing the intended project.
- Abnormal use, automation, credential sharing, or other activity inconsistent with normal evaluation.
We may define specific thresholds in the product, checkout page, or help center as the product matures.
4. Refunds we may approve
Refunds may be approved in the following situations:
- You purchased the wrong KwaFlux plan and promptly purchased the correct plan.
- You were charged twice for the same account and same plan by mistake.
- You were charged after receiving written confirmation that cancellation had been completed before renewal.
- You did not receive access due to a confirmed issue caused by KwaFlux, and we could not resolve it within a reasonable time.
- A terminal technical issue prevents the software from functioning on a device that meets the published system requirements, and you cooperate with troubleshooting.
- A cloud processing task failed due to a confirmed issue caused by KwaFlux, and we cannot reprocess or restore credits within a reasonable time.
- A payment or checkout error caused an incorrect charge.
- Applicable law gives you a mandatory right to refund or withdrawal.
5. Refunds we generally do not approve
Refunds are generally not available where:
- The refund request is made after the applicable refund period.
- You changed your mind after purchase and the refund window has expired.
- You failed to review product details, system requirements, platform availability, plan terms, cloud processing availability, or release status before purchasing.
- Your device does not meet the published system requirements.
- Your internet connection, local environment, input file quality, file corruption, unsupported codec, driver issue, or third-party software caused the issue.
- You refuse to cooperate with reasonable troubleshooting, such as providing error messages, logs, screenshots, app version, OS version, GPU model, task ID, or reproduction steps.
- You are dissatisfied with AI output quality after materially using the Service, because AI results vary by input and settings.
- You purchased through a third-party seller, app store, reseller, marketplace, or unauthorized channel.
- You request a refund for taxes, exchange-rate differences, bank fees, card issuer fees, or regional price differences.
- Your account was suspended or terminated for violating the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
- You used the Service for prohibited, abusive, unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent purposes.
- You initiated or threatened an abusive chargeback instead of contacting us in good faith.
6. EU, UK, and other mandatory consumer rights
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that gives you mandatory withdrawal, cooling-off, refund, or consumer rights, those rights apply despite this policy.
For digital content or digital services, your right of withdrawal may be limited or lost where you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you may lose the withdrawal right once performance begins, to the extent allowed by applicable law.
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
7. How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact support@kwaflux.com with:
- The email address associated with your KwaFlux account.
- Your order ID, invoice ID, Stripe receipt, or payment confirmation.
- The plan purchased.
- The purchase date.
- A brief explanation of the issue.
- For technical or cloud processing issues: OS version, app version, GPU model, task ID, error messages, screenshots, logs, and reproduction steps where available.
We aim to respond within 5 business days.
8. Refund processing
If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method through the payment processor. Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
Once a refund is issued, your paid license, subscription, credits, cloud processing access, or entitlement may be deactivated. You must stop using paid features and uninstall paid software access where applicable.
9. Partial refunds and account credits
At our discretion, we may offer a partial refund, account credit, credit restoration, plan extension, or alternative resolution instead of a full refund, particularly where:
- A substantial part of the billing period has elapsed.
- You materially used paid functionality.
- Cloud credits were partially used.
- A technical issue affected only part of the Service.
- A goodwill adjustment is appropriate.
We are not obligated to provide partial refunds unless required by law.
10. Cancellation vs. refund
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund the current billing period.
If you want to cancel and request a refund, you must do both: cancel through the billing portal or support channel, and submit a refund request under this policy.
11. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We will review billing issues in good faith.
Unresolved or abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension, license deactivation, credit deactivation, fraud review, and loss of access to paid features.
12. Changes to this policy
The Refund Policy in effect at the time of purchase governs your refund eligibility, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We may update this policy from time to time by posting the updated version on our website.
