Short-drama localization workflow
Localize short drama on one workstation
Production houses, distributors, and translation shops turn one master into dozens of versions per season — and the unreleased episodes are the asset. KwaFlux runs the middle-processing steps on your GPU: AI Video Enhancer and Quality Repair for AIGC or low-resolution masters, Restore Old Video for back catalog, Subtitle Edit for per-language burn-in, Video Converter for platform-spec delivery. The masters are not uploaded; translation and ASR are not shipped, and subtitle erasure is not offered.

One master in, every deliverable version out
Picture repair, upscaling, per-language subtitles, and platform-spec exports share one local toolkit. Preview free before you commit a season.

Typical cloud path
Upload unreleased masters to a processing service → queue → pay per minute per version → download → package elsewhere.

Master stays on your GPU; upscale, restore, subtitle, and export every version from one machine — free 1s/3s/5s previews first.
Why short-drama versioning belongs on one workstation
- The bottleneck moved from shooting episodes to versioning them: resolution tiers, restored back catalog, per-language subtitles, and per-platform files all come off the same master.
- Uploading a season's masters to a third-party processing service before release is a leak surface in a category where pirated early leaks are routine. Local processing removes the trip.
- AIGC and low-resolution masters carry diffusion smear and compression blocks that a player's scaler only enlarges; AI Video Enhancer with the Portrait model rebuilds faces, which is most of a drama frame.
- Finishing locally is a fixed cost: a KwaFlux plan has no per-minute meter, so the tenth episode costs the same GPU minutes as the first instead of another metered pass.
Recommended KwaFlux settings
AI Video Enhancer — Portrait model to 1080p or 4K
Drama frames are mostly faces; the Portrait model protects skin and eyes while rebuilding edges. Add AI Video Quality Repair first when the source shows compression blocks.

Frequently asked questions
Can this erase burned-in subtitles so we can re-subtitle an episode?
- No. AI Object Remover erases tracked objects and static clutter, not text tracks, and is not marketed for subtitle or watermark removal. Start from the clean master or ask the producer for the textless export.
Does it translate or transcribe dialogue?
- Not in the current release. Subtitle Edit imports SRT or ASS, styles and positions cues, and exports burn-in or MKV soft subtitles. Bring translations from your vendor; we place, burn, or mux them.
Is my footage uploaded anywhere?
- No. The AI processing runs on your own GPU and your clips are not uploaded — there are no per-minute cloud fees or upload queues. The network is used only for sign-in and license checks (needed to export on a paid plan) and for updates.
