Why short-drama versions belong on one workstation

  1. After the shoot, the work is versioning: every episode needs a clean master, a subtitle version per language and a file per platform.
  2. Unreleased episodes are the asset. Processing them on your own workstation means they don’t go to another service before release.
  3. AI-generated and low-resolution masters carry smearing and compression blocks. Smart Repair cleans them up and restores faces, which fill most drama frames.
  4. Local processing has no per-minute fee, so a long season doesn’t add up episode by episode.

Three-step workflow

  1. Import the episode master

    Bring the AI-generated or camera master onto the workstation; it stays there for every later step.

  2. Repair the picture once

    Run Smart Repair at 1080p or 4K and preview the worst scene. Then apply the parameters to the other episodes and use Export all.

  3. Subtitle and deliver

    Burn in or add each language’s SRT/ASS in Subtitle Edit, then convert to every platform’s codec and container.

Frequently asked questions

Can KwaFlux remove subtitles burned into an episode?
No. Burned-in text is part of the picture, and object removal isn’t built for it. Ask for the textless master and subtitle that.
Does it translate, transcribe or dub dialogue?
No. Bring the translations as SRT or ASS from your translators; KwaFlux burns them in or adds them as a soft track. Dubbing isn’t part of the app.
Can I run several clips through the same settings?
Yes. Load the clips into one workspace, set the parameters on one, apply them to the rest and Export all. The Converter also takes a whole folder at once.
Is my footage uploaded anywhere?
No. The AI processing runs on your own GPU, and your clips are not uploaded for processing — there are no per-minute cloud fees or upload queues. KwaFlux still goes online for sign-in and license checks, app updates and model downloads (plus the GPU Acceleration Component on Mac), downloading a file from a link, and the crash and diagnostic reports described in our Privacy Policy.
