Mark an object, then change what's behind it
Click the object on one frame and check the mask on a short preview. If an edge slips, add another point, or mark an area to leave out.

What you set in the workspace
Object Annotation
Click the object in the preview and SAM2 follows it through the clip. Undo, clear and Regenerate sit in the same panel.
Background Options
Transparent exports with an alpha channel. Solid, Gallery and Blur put a color, an image or a blurred background behind the object.
Videos and photos
The same workspace takes a video or a still image. In a video, the tracking carries your clicks from frame to frame.

Objects here, people elsewhere
Use it when a product, a prop, a vehicle or a logo should stay while the background changes. For people, use AI Smart Cutout; to retouch a face, use AI Beauty.
To erase an object instead of keeping it, use AI Object Remover.

Preview the hard moments
Fast motion, something passing in front of the object, and a background close to its color are where the mask slips. Render a free 1, 3 or 5-second preview on those moments and add a point where the edge drifts.

How to replace an object's background in KwaFlux
Open the module and import
In the sidebar, open AI Toolbox, then Segment & Replace, and pick Object Background Replace. Import a video or an image.
Click the object, choose a background
Mark the object with clicks, then pick Transparent, Solid, Gallery or Blur. Preview a few seconds to check the edges.
Export
Set the output folder and export. If the delivery needs another format, convert it afterwards in Video Converter.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How is this different from AI Smart Cutout?
- AI Smart Cutout is made for people. Object Background Replace keeps whatever you click, such as a product, a prop or a vehicle, and SAM2 tracks it through the clip.
- Can it follow an object that moves or is briefly hidden?
- Usually. If the mask drifts or loses the object, add points on that frame and regenerate. Fast motion and long occlusions are the hardest, so preview those moments first.
- Can I try it before buying?
- Yes, with no account or card. Free previews last 1, 3 or 5 seconds in video modules, 5, 15 or 30 seconds in Video Stabilization, the whole picture for images and the opening 5 to 30 seconds for audio; file tools such as the Converter have no effect preview. Exporting, converting, repairing a file and downloading a file from a link need sign-in and a paid plan, and there's no time-limited trial.
