Object Replace — click, track, composite locally

Object Segmentation & Replace uses SAM2 to track a clicked target across frames, then composites a transparent, solid, gallery, or blurred plate. The chrome is the current desktop workbench. Preview a short slice before export.

SAM2 tracking

Mark an object, then swap its plate on your GPU

Annotation, regenerate, and background modes stay in the right rail. Preview edges before a full export.

What the object workbench actually exposes

SAM2 object tracking

Click the target; the tracker follows it through motion. Undo / redo / regenerate live in the annotation rail.

Background modes

Transparent (alpha / checkerboard), solid color, gallery still, or blur — same family as portrait cutout.

Not the person-only path

Person replace is tuned for portraits. Use this module when the subject is a prop, vehicle, logo, or other object.

When object replace is the right tool

Product shots, B-roll, and UGC often need one thing gone or swapped — a bottle, a sign, a car — without opening a compositor. KwaFlux keeps that click-and-track loop on your GPU so NDA plates stay on the workstation.

Hair and faces still belong in person replace or beauty. This page is for non-person subjects the tracker can lock.

Preview the track before you export

Fast motion, occlusion, and similar-colored backgrounds remain the honest hard cases. Free 1s/3s/5s previews exist so you can watch the mask crawl on the real clip before a long queue export.

How to replace an object in KwaFlux

  1. 01

    Import the clip

Ordinary lighting is fine. Extreme motion blur and heavy occlusion are the hard cases.

  2. 02

Click the target and pick a plate

Annotate the object, then choose transparent, solid, gallery, or blur. Check a 1s/3s/5s preview.

  3. 03

    Export locally

Queue export stays on disk. Pair with format conversion if the deliverable needs a specific codec.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from person replace?

Person replace is tuned for portraits and body mattes. Object replace is the SAM2 click-to-track path for props and other non-person subjects.

Does SAM2 upload my clip?

No. Tracking and compositing run on your machine. KwaFlux does not upload the media to finish a preview or export.

Is my footage uploaded to the cloud?

No. The AI processing runs on your own GPU and your media files are not uploaded — there is no queue and no per-minute cloud fee. The network is used only for sign-in and license checks (needed to export on a paid plan) and for updates.

Can I try it before buying?

Yes. Download KwaFlux and render 1-, 3-, and 5-second effect previews across all AI modules without creating an account. You only sign in and pick a paid plan when you want to export or convert, and there is a $199.99 Perpetual License if you prefer to skip subscriptions.

How many devices can I use?

Each license can be used on up to 2 devices. Sign in on a new device to activate it; if you are already at the limit, the least recently used device may be signed out automatically. You can also revoke devices from your dashboard at any time.

What are the pricing options?

The Perpetual License is $199.99 one-time. Subscriptions are also available at $29.99/month, $49.99/quarter, and $79.99/year. All plans include the full local desktop feature set.
