What the workspace does
Sky detection in every frame
Sky Replace finds the sky frame by frame, so you don't paint a mask. It suits a hazy, blown-out or flat gray sky.
Sky Image
Choose the image that becomes the new sky, then preview 1, 3 or 5 seconds to see it move with the shot.
Match Sky to Scene
On by default. It shifts the new sky's brightness and color toward the rest of the picture and leaves the foreground unchanged.

When a new sky is the right fix
Color grading can't bring back clouds that were clipped to white; a new sky replaces that area instead. It needs an outdoor shot where the sky is clearly visible.
Interiors, night shots and studio sets need a different tool: try AI Color Grading or AI Video Quality Repair.

Preview the horizon in motion
Pans, branches across the horizon and reflections in water are the hard parts. Preview your toughest pan, not just the first frame, before you export the whole clip.

How to replace a sky in KwaFlux
Import an outdoor clip
In the sidebar, open AI Toolbox, then Segment & Replace, and pick Sky Replace. Landscape, travel and drone shots with a visible sky work well.
Pick a sky and preview
Choose the Sky Image and keep Match Sky to Scene on unless you want the sky exactly as it is. Then preview a pan that crosses the horizon.
Export, then grade
Export the clip. If the whole picture also needs a new look, grade it afterwards in AI Color Grading.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can it fix a sky that's blown out to white?
- Yes, by replacing it: the white area gets the sky image you choose. The original clouds can't be recovered, and bright edges around trees or buildings are worth previewing.
- Is this the same as AI Color Grading?
- No. AI Color Grading changes the colors of the whole frame; Sky Replace swaps only the sky. If a shot needs both, replace the sky first, then grade.
- Can I try it before buying?
- Yes, with no account or card. Free previews last 1, 3 or 5 seconds in video modules, 5, 15 or 30 seconds in Video Stabilization, the whole picture for images and the opening 5 to 30 seconds for audio; file tools such as the Converter have no effect preview. Exporting, converting, repairing a file and downloading a file from a link need sign-in and a paid plan, and there's no time-limited trial.
