What AI Image Enhancer recovers

Most “ruined” photos are actually suffering from one of a few specific problems: compression artifacts from messaging apps, sensor noise from low light, mild focus miss, or simply low resolution from an old camera. Each responds to a different model, which is why KwaFlux ships five repair types instead of one generic filter. Pick the type that matches the damage, choose an output size up to 4K, and compare against the original before exporting.

As with video, honesty about limits: a thumbnail-sized source cannot become a billboard. But images from roughly 1–8 megapixels — old phone photos, chat-app re-compressions, early digital camera files — routinely clean up far beyond what people expect.

Photos and video in one local pipeline

If you already restore video in KwaFlux, image work uses the same workflow and the same license — no separate photo tool, and the same privacy model: files are processed on your machine and are not uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions

How large can I upscale a photo?

Each repair type supports output scaling from native resolution up to 4K. Results depend on source quality — a reasonably clean 1–2 megapixel photo upscales dramatically better than a tiny thumbnail.

Can it fix blurry photos?

Mild focus miss and motion softness respond well to the appropriate repair type. Severe blur where the subject is unrecognizable is beyond honest recovery — no tool can reconstruct information that was never captured.

Can I process many photos at once?

Yes. Batch processing applies the same settings across a folder, which is the intended workflow for digitized family archives and product photo sets.

Does it work on scanned prints and old family photos?

Yes — scanned prints combine noise, fading, and low effective resolution, and the repair models handle all three. For black-and-white video from the same era, see the old-video restoration workflow.

Is my footage uploaded to the cloud?

No. The AI processing runs on your own GPU and your media files are not uploaded — there is no queue and no per-minute cloud fee. The network is used only for sign-in and license checks (needed to export on a paid plan) and for updates.

Can I try it before buying?
